	Personal Service ~ Throughout our communications you will be speaking with Alison Shore who is our European Logistics Co-ordinator, she will liaise with you directly and arranges all of the vehicle movements throughout Europe, she speaks fluent English & French and is highly experienced with living in France and European logistics. 	Self Pack ~ To make your move most cost effective for you our service is a self-pack collection and delivery service. You should use suitable, strong packing cartons/boxes. We recommend MEDIUM sized boxes 40cmX40cmX40cm for ease of lifting and security.
	Vehicle capacity ~ We use the largest van types available.
	We collect ~ Your driver will assist you to load the vehicle. Everything should be packed/boxed, on the ground floor with easy access and ready for a pre-customs and Inventory check from our driver. We can arrange for extra porters to negate the need for you to help to load the vehicle, please enquire.
	Storage ~ Can't be at your new home in time for your delivery? We offer secure UK or French storage within a secure storage area at specialist firms. We will take your consignment into storage and then deliver to your destination on a day to suit you.
	We deliver ~ Your driver will assist you to unload the van and check off the goods against the Inventory. We can arrange for extra porters to negate the need for you to help to un-load the vehicle, please enquire
	Contacting your driver en-route ~ you will be provided with your drivers mobile telephone number should you wish to make contact at any time.
	When do I pay? Deposit at time of booking to secure & confirm your transport, this can be made via cheque, Bank transfer or on-line. We always are exceptionally busy - only a deposit can secure your dates and removal! Followed by the balance to be received by your driver upon collection of your goods by cheque or payment on-line 2 days prior to collection.
	Additional information: We have Satellite Navigation on-board, camera over the rear doors with cab monitor screen, fully alarmed & immobiliser, armour plated additional security locks on all doors. At no time is the vehicle vacated within an insecure area. Full breakdown cover. Do we take pianos? Although we get many requests Pianos should be transported by a specialist carrier due to their weight, if you really, really insist we will consider. ADVICE & TIPS from the team
PACKING SORT Take a ruthless view on items you may not use or want PACKING CARTONS We advise you to use strong packing cartons, avoid large cartons and don't overload them, consider the weight and stability/stackability of each. (See our links page for carton suppliers or go to the supermarket and select the best there for free!) IDENTITY You could mark each box with its contents or room and your name. FRAGILITY You must mark the boxes "FRAGILE", "VERY FRAGILE" or "THIS WAY UP" CLOTHING You could consider the hanging cartons available saving lots of ironing the other side! APPLIANCES Empty and clean thoroughly. Washing machines: use the stability bars for the drum supplied when you bought the machine. OFFICE EQUIPMENT For example; fax machines, PC's, printers, scanners etc - these must all be boxed and not loose. LCD screens must be well padded to avoid any scratching by movement of the vehicle. CHINA AND GLASS Line the carton with newspaper and wrap individually in tissue or newspaper. Make sure they are well padded. PLATES, RECORDS AND CDS Stand on side, don't pack flat. SELF ASSEMBLY FURNITURE is not designed to be moved whole. Disassemble the furniture removing and packing all parts. FURNITURE should have all cushions and loose covers removed and packed separately. BEDS if possible disassemble beds, cover & seal mattresses with plastic sheeting. Pack bed clothing separately. MOTORISED EQUIPMENT ensure fuel tanks are close to empty. Please advise your driver if you suspect any oil leaks. PLANTS or ANIMALS we do not carry plants or animals. FOOD We do not carry food items. FLAMMABLE ITEMS such as petrol, paint, paraffin, gas bottles etc cannot be carried by us. INSURANCE For any expensive items you should consider taking independent insurance. COLLECTION AND DELIVERY YOUR LOAD Ensure that you have checked that all of your items will fit into the transport, review the Capacity Calculator that we send to you. EASY ACCESS needed for large vehicle and advise of any parking restrictions. If collection/delivery is in a narrow, restricted or busy street please contact the local Police/Mairie to advise them of the timings. You must advise us in advance if there are stairs or any difficulty with access, it helps us to plan better. COLLECTION TIME/DATE ensure you have liased with us and you or a representative is on site at the time of collection and delivery to assist with loading/unloading.
